NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICERS Every organization that is to be run efficiently has to have middlemen and, in the case of our Battalion here at B.M.I., the non-coms are the middlemen. It is the non-coms' responsibility to assist their superior officers in carrying the responsibilities of the units. In doing this, they gain experience in leadership by executing the orders of their superiors and by giving instruction to the smaller units of the Corps. Ranging in grade from Sergeant to Master Ser- geant, the non-coms of the Corps represent a fair sized group. It is from this group that the officers of next year's Corps will be taken, As always, the non-coms have been doing a swell job on the whole and the competition for the higher ranking positions is very keen. With these men taking a major part in the running of the Corps, it has been very successful. We of the Corps want to thank the non-coms on the fine job which they have done and wish them the best of success in building an outstanding Battalion next year. 4 A v W 4 vi Y? 1' QQ vi? ul-N s 3+ .41 tes

if The ideal of every cadet when he enters B.M.I. is to become an ofhcer. To he selected as an officer, the cadet must show exceptional leadership and good conduct. It is the duty of the ofhcers to maintain discipline and keep a high sense of morale. From the Lieutenant Colonel down to the lowest ranking Lieutenant can he seen the high spirit of morale that characterizes an officer, This year the officers with the help of the NCO's have been unusually successful in making the corps into a well-disciplined unit, After the first promotion late in the fall some 12 officers were commissioned and they are now occupying high positions in the Staff Com- panies and Band. Good luck to this elite group of hand-picked men. COMMISSIONED CFFICERS Top Rout Cleary, Olsen, Krawciw. Harvey, Dent, Garton. Second Rout Bermudez, DeLaurentis, Carahelli, Parker, Rainforth.
