B.M.l, was set back on both ends. The te.1m didnt have it, even though Miller pitched L1 no hitter in the second game. Trouncing Pennington Prep, 12--i, and losing to Burlington, 5-1, the little nine wrapped up the se.1s0n's record. This spring w.1s .1 hard one for both coaches and players, But .is history has shown, experience pays off, The .I,V.'s of this year, PCI'l1.1IWS will be the h7.ll'Slfy of next year. As only three of last year's squad returned this year, inexperi- enee was one of the things the coathes had to contend with. The infield consisted of Tom Karwatki at short. joe Navarro at first, Gene Studioso at second, and Gaston Bermudez at third, The outlielders were ,lim Mtllwain in left, Nelson Rainforth in center, and George Baldanzi in right, The batteries were Ed Peppler at the plate and either Howie Stonhatlt, George Phillips or Greg Bova on the hill. Sexeral ot' this team stood out .is he-ing exceptional players one was Karwacki, the slugger who helped us out ot' many .1 tight spot with .1 solid hitg .mother was Stonhatk who turned in one of the finest pitthing jobs seen at B,M.I, in retent years, As a whole the team played together well and possessed one great .isst-tithe winning spirit.
