We faced West Washington, Lanesville, Graceland, and Paoli. We were defeated by Paoli in overtime and stayed with Floyd Central for 3V2 quarters before we wore down. First we formed a business to be established for one month and then elected officers. The next step was to name the business and it was decided that it would be called Big T Chocolate ShopT. In order to start the business we need- ed to know how an assembly line work- ed so we visited Kimballs. Then we had a visitor, Mrs. Jimenez come to show us how to make chocolate and what materials we needed to set up shop. Our next order of business was to get a loan to fund our project. This we did at the Indiana Southern Bank in Borden. Now weTre in business! Everyone in the class was busily mak- ing chocolate every spare minute. We couldnit keep up! The candy was sold before school and during recess. We ran out daily. Sales ran two weeks and in the end we made $218.25. This we donated to Meagan McKinley and The American Heart Association. We also threw ourselves a modest pizza party which was well deserved and heartily eaten by all. Officers: left to right: Lori Hagesl. President; Salle Krucr. Vice-Presidenl: Heidi Martin. Smith Have A Nice Day! Outside my window a new day I see, and only I can determine what kind it will be. I can be busy and sunny, laughing and gay, or boring and cold, unhappy and gray. My own state of mind is the determining key, for I am only the person I let myselfbe. I can be thoughtful and do all to help, or selfish and think just of myself. I can enjoy what I do and make it seem fun, or gripe and complain and make it hard on someone. I can be patient with those who may not understand, or belittle and hurt them as much as Ican. But I have faith in myself, and I believe what I say, and I personally intend to make the best of each day. This poem is dedicated to Paul A. Webb and the class of 1986. i From: Cinnamon C. Crone Stacey L. Cates We wish to express special thanks to the following people for all the help they have given us: Connie Hurst Iphotographyl, Charlie Ball lequip- menu, and Tom Lockmund tphotographyl.
