Prophecy AMAZING DISCOVERIES MADE IN EXCAVATION OF BURIED CITYII This was the report that spread like fire throughout the city on the morning of May 31, 2999. With one accord the whole populace dropped its activities and flocked to the scene where before their wondering eyes, a long dead town began to reveal its secrets under the picks and shovels. Much to their surprise they found engraved on a slab of concrete the words Borden Institute 188h. True enoughl So it turned out to be. Borden, a small town that had flourished a thousand years before and then had disappeared with the passing of time, had come to its own once more. While rummaging through the derbis, the first great work of lit- erature to be found was the 1965 issue of the Pekin Banner . The column read: James Nunn is now back in the beloved hills of old Kentucky. He has a wife and twelve children and is making them a prosperous living as sole proprietor of the Nunn Distillery -famous for quality orange juice and lemonade. Melvin Rosenberger has set his mark in the world of horse racing by bringing home T'the Roses in the Kentucky Derby for the tenth time in the past seven years. twe hear that the Derby is only run once a year; but that is what the Pekin Banner says so it must be right.i Donie Jordan is now a five star general in the United States Army. Donie first proved himself to be a great war strategist when he piloted the jet fighter plane which murdered sixteen houseflies in a head-on collision. Doris Naugle has just been elected Mrs. America of 1965. It is said that Doris has been married eleven times and has never yet found the man of her love. Doris doesn't believe in divorces so she uses rat poisoning. Rudy Cook has set a new world record for eating the most food in a yearis time. He kept the United States out of a depression by keeping food prices up. Rudy's motto is, He who eats the fastest eats the mostU.
