To the faculty, we bequeath appreciation for a task well done. To the incoming Freshmen, we leave some of the beams of our radiant faces so there will be some brightness in the school. To the Sophomore, Junior and Senior classes of 1952 we do bequeath our ability to learn. Wesley Carter leaves his ability to keep cool headed while playing basketball to Jack Rielley. Rudy Cook leaves his ability to eat popcorn in the assembly, with- out getting caught to Rozella Johns. Fritz Fisher leaves the most valuable car in Borden High School to his friend and neighbor, Wendell Trainor. Lavona Hooker leaves her chicken cackle laugh to Ruth McKinley. Joe Huber leaves his musical talent the knows there is plenty leftl to Avaline Book. Donie Jordan leaves his absent-mindedness to Merlin Popp. Lenora McKinley leaves her mischievousness to Rosalie Johns. Rosella McKinley leaves her red hair to Barbara McKinley. Dale Naugle leaves his position as Chief Doctor and Floor Mopper to Paul Coffman. Doris Naugle leaves her specks to Romilda and Freedia so they can see if the teacher is watching when they whisper in the assembly. With one accord the whole populace dropped its activities and flocked to the scene where before their wondering eyes, a long dead town began to reveal its secrets under the picks and shovels. Much to their surprise they found engraved on a slab of concrete the words Borden Institute 188h. True enoughl So it turned out to be. Borden, a small town that had flourished a thousand years before and then had disappeared with the passing of time, had come to its own once more. While rummaging through the derbis, the first great work of lit- erature to be found was the 1965 issue of the Pekin Banner . The column read: James Nunn is now back in the beloved hills of old Kentucky. He has a wife and twelve children and is making them a prosperous living as sole proprietor of the Nunn Distillery -famous for quality orange juice and lemonade. Melvin Rosenberger has set his mark in the world of horse racing by bringing home T'the Roses in the Kentucky Derby for the tenth time in the past seven years. twe hear that the Derby is only run once a year; but that is what the Pekin Banner says so it must be right.i Donie Jordan is now a five star general in the United States Army. Donie first proved himself to be a great war strategist when he piloted the jet fighter plane which murdered sixteen houseflies in a head-on collision. Doris Naugle has just been elected Mrs. America of 1965. It is said that Doris has been married eleven times and has never yet found the man of her love. Doris doesn't believe in divorces so she uses rat poisoning. Rudy Cook has set a new world record for eating the most food in a yearis time. He kept the United States out of a depression by keeping food prices up. Rudy's motto is, He who eats the fastest eats the mostU. Joe Huber is now star of his own television show, sponsored by The Drip Diaper Company . It is said that Joe's convincing sales talk has sold more diapers than Arthur Godfrey has sold cigarettes. Dale Naugle has just received a medal of honor from the Presi- dent of the United States for working out a plan for world economy. Dale says, Spend it while you have it. It's much more fun to econ- omize when you don't have it. Lenora McKinley has just announced her engagement to Dr. Albert Einstein. She met him while attending a scientist's debate in New York City where the chief subject for discussion was, Why split the Adom? He's already married to Eve. Fritz Fisher is known in the world of auto racing as the invent- or of the car that is so fast that while racing on a halfqnile track, the car knocked a hole in its radiator when it hit its own differential. Vincent Smith has been promoted to the office of First Vice- President of the Color+Back Hair Company . Vince says that the style for the coming season will be dark green hair with yellow polka dots. We wonder if Vince will be in style. Lavona Hooker is now convalescing from a slight accident. It occurred while she was twirling a baton in the Cole Brother's Circus. Lavona was twirling so fast that she mistook her left leg for the baton and began pitching it in the air. While standing on the baton, her right foot slipped and she fell to the floor fracturing her left little toe. Wesley Carter has become famous in the World of opera. He made his debut at the Metropolitian Opera House while singing the part of the donkey in the Donkey Serenade . Rosella McKinley at last report, was faring well as dressmaker at the Bare and Forebare Nudist Colony located two and one-half miles south of Borden. Rosella says that business isn't rushing, but she doesn't like to sew anyway. This concluded the column of Who's Who in Borden . For years to come the excavators will continue to uncover interesting facts about the small town of Borden, Indiana.
