Elected were Nixon and local Republicans. Borah's Senator staff achieved added recognition this year for fine efforts in newspaper production. In addition to gaining the All-American Newspaper Award for the seventh consecutive year, the staff captured numerous awards in State competitive contests. Senator Editors Rita Owings and Paula Wheelwright, and associate editor Rosemary Lilly with the help of the staff and Mrs. Marge Bue, adviser, revised the format of the paper for a new look. New practices include publication of more eight-page papers, more in-depth features, and a new head for the front page. Staff members interviewed leading national and state political figures, among them Senator Edward Kennedy, Dr. Benjamin Spock, William Bud Davis, and Jim McClure.
