1961 Boonville Boys - Runner Up State Class A Healthy bodies and strong minds In 1961 Boonville boys almost brought the state champion- ship title to Boonville for the second time. They lost by one point in over-time play. In 1965 Coach Ed Lakey and his boys were given a second chance and this time they suc- ceeded. From this group of state champions, Chris Stin- son is now playing basketball for Louisburg Junior College, and Danny Hemric plays foot- ball for the Appalachian Moun- taineers, Appalachian State Teachers College.
