GARY CAVE LINDA CAVE BETTY JO COMER STEPHEN COMER PHYLLIS CORAM NANCY CRANFILL KELLY DENTON KAY DUDLEY Class History As we approach the end of one phase of our life, there are many things that we will never forget - the excitement of winning the state basketball championship our junior year, the trip to Raleigh, working together. It all began when a group of scared first graders entered Boonville School in the fall of 1954. We shared the triumphs and disappointments of the years in elementary school. Then in the fall of 1962, we were joined by 19 stu- dents from Fall Creek Elementary School to start our four years of study to receive that long-awaited diploma. BETTYE GEORGE RUELEEN HICKS BOBBIE HOBSON LARRY HOLCOMB DONNA JESTER JO ANN JESTER STEVE HUTCHINS VON JOHNSON Eighty-one nervous, confused students entered the Freshman Class. Mrs. Ailene Pardue, Mr. Bobby Adams, and Mr. Ralph Walker had the duty as sponsors to the inexperienced freshmen. As class officers we elected Johnny Shore, President; Jackie Brooks, Vice-President; Susan Williams, Secretary; and Tommy Keever, Treasurer. In the spring we traveled to Tanglewood Park for a class picnic. After a short vacation, sixty-six sophomores, a bit more confident, returned for another year of study. Class sponsors were Mrs. Louise Cor- am, Mrs. Louise Randleman, and Mr. Monty Carter. Class officers were Neal Brown, President; Roger Schock, Vice-President; Susan Williams, Secretary; and Jackie Bishop, Treasurer. The most exciting experience of the year was taking driver’s training and getting our driving license. We began our junior year with 55 students under the leadership of Mrs. Anita Reece, Mr. Edward Lakey, and Miss Beulah Reece. Class officers were Neal Brown, President; Phyllis Brown, Vice-President; SusanWil- liams, Secretary. Our play, ”A Feuding Over Yonder” under the direction of Mr. Carter had a record attendance. Our candy sales gave us a hint of the business world to come. Our junior marshals were Phyllis Coram, Eddie Reece, Phyllis Brown, Ronnie Roberts, and Jackie Lewis. ’’When Knighthood was in Flower” was our prom theme which called for a great deal of hard work. GLENDA MOXLEY JEAN MOXLEY TILTON MUNCUS BASIL NEAL DONALD REECE EDDIE REECE MARTIN REECE REBECCA REECE Our senior year under the leadership of Miss Phebe Day and Mrs. Hilda McDonald found us with only 53 students. We received our class rings early in the fall. This gave us a feeling of seniority and achievement. We began a busy year. There were magazines to be sold, college applications to be filled out, a play to produce, a trip to look forward to. As class officers we elected Steve Comer, President; Basil Neal, Vice-President; and Nancy Willard, Secretary. As each of us go separate ways to take our places in the world, we will never forget our days at Boonville High School. Baseball Team K Cheerleaders Behind every successful ball club there is a squad of hard working cheerleaders. The games and practice sessions claim three nights out of their week. In one year alone they spend over 300 hours going to games and practice. A team needs support from the fans to keep their spirits up, and it is the cheerleaders who help to give them this support. Leading cheers for the highly successful Boonville High School athletic teams this year is this group of attractive girls.
