CLASS HISTORY We entered the Freshman year very nervously and noisly with an enrollment of fifty-nine students. Nine of us came from Fall Creek Elementary School. We realized that this was a great jump from grammar school, but we soon learned to adapt ourselves to this new environment. ’’Miss Boonville High,” Donna Woodruff, was elected from our class. Our homeroom teachers were Mr. Ralph Walker, Mr. Edward Lakey, and Mr. Ed Dennehy. As class officers we elected: President, David Steelman; Vice President, Franklin Hinshaw; Secretary, Judy Reece; and Treasurer, Carolyn Collins. We began our Sophomore year with fifty-four members. We were more confident as we fell into the high school pattern. We had several boys and girls playing sports this year. This year we were under the direction of Mrs. Ralph Coram and Mr. M. G. Stanley. We elected the following class officers: President, David Shore; Vice President, Max Sizemore; Secretary, Gaynell Johnson; Treasurer, David Steelman. Our Junior year found us with only fifty-one members, but we had great anticipation for an exciting year. The Junior play ’’Hillbilly Weddin” was directed by Mr. Zack Ladd. The most outstanding feature of our Junior year was the Junior-Senior Prom ’’Moonlight and Roses.” This night will long be remembered by all of us. This year we were under the direction of Miss Beulah Reece, Mrs. Thad Reece, and Mr. Edward Lakey. Our class officers were: President, David Steelman; Vice President, Phyllis Woodruff; Secretary, Judy Coram; Treasurer, Judy Reece. Our Senior class, under the leadership of Mrs. A. W. McDonald and Miss Phebe Day, started its thrilling, yet sad, concluding year with only forty-four members. Early in the fall we received our class rings, which gave us a feeling of seniority. Several of our members were leaders on the Student Council and Annual Staff. We elected as our mascots Debbie Winters and Dale Wagoner. This year Donna Woodruff again won ’’Miss Boonville High,” and Max Sizemore, ”Mr. Boonville High.” Judy Coram was elected Homecoming Queen and Carmin Storie, Senior Attendant. We are all looking forward to our trip to Washington. We elected as class officers: President, Max Sizemore; Vice President, Carolyn Collins; Secretary, Kay Jester; Treasurer, JoAnn Parker.
