BH8 bands present spring pops concert The BHS band, directed by Mr. Mike Barton, sold popcorn this year in order to finance their trip to Opryland. The Concert Band and the Jazz Band competed at the Grand Ole Opry against bands from most all of the 50 states. They placed third out of five divi- sions. The 103-member Band per- formed in the WROZ parade in Evansville, and they placed first in the Boonville Labor Day Parade Contest. The Dance Band took a one day tour of area schools. Greg Hebner won the Outstand- ing Bandsman Award, and Donna Ellis won the Outstanding Musi- cian Award. At rijjht, the Singing Pioneers perform at the First Baptist Church for a Sweetheart Dance on Valentine’s Day. Singinjg Pioneers.
