DUGAN, SPONSOR Jane Derendinger Chosen To Compete For DAR Award Miss Jane Derendinger was se- lected this morning to compete for the state Good Citizenship award of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She wil receive the local award of the Hannah Cole chapter in May. Miss Derendinger, a senior in the high school, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Derendinger of near Boonville. In selecting the representative to compete for the state award the school faculty first chooses three senior girls, after which the sen- ior class selects the one it feels is most outstanding. Qualifications are dependability; leadership, ser- vice. and patriotism. . On February 1, 1957. Miss Deren- dinner will take a written test gixen by the National Society of the D.A.R. which is given to win- 2'::';1's all over the country. Gaylan Cope, a, member of the Honor Society at Springdale, Ar- kansas, has transferred his mem- bership to B.H.S.
