Music has played a significant role in our high school years. Our freshman year saw the concerts of Pat Benatar and U2. That summer gave us the 80's version of Wood-stock as the world came together for Live-Aid, nearly all the notable musical personalities were there. The sophomore year saw the installation of the juke box, and thus the sources of music in school were expanded. In the summer of 86, we paid tribute to the “Lady in the harbor, The Statue of Liberty. The concerts that year included those of Brian Adams, Michael Jackson and the 20th Anniversary Tour of The Monkees. The junior year witnessed many musical events in and out of school. While Huey Lewis, Genesis, Billy Joel, A-HA and U2 were performing around the area, we were holding a prom, a talent show and a student concert sponsored by Expressions. During our senior year, we've had concerts by U2, Pink Floyd and Sting. The Star Spangled Banner played proudly as the Minnesota Twins captured the 1987 World Series.
