Science The Science Department’s foremost objective is to orient students to live with science through reason and understanding. By means of textbook studies, laboratory facilities, and research problems, challenges arc presented to our young science explorers. Theoretical and practical applications are employed in Biology, Advanced Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Practical Science, General Science, and Earth Science classes. Typing class busily pecks away. The Commercial Department offers a wide variety of courses to B.H.S. students. Since its main purpose is to prepare pupils for the business world, most of the curriculum is secretarial in nature. One also can find many college-bound students enrolled in the typing and note-hand courses presented. To expand the prograjm, business machines have been introduced and an accounting course has been recently added to the curriculum. It is this department’s expectation that these improvements will futhcr prepare our commercial students for business vocations after graduation.
