Guidance for Our Future In order to have a well organized, smoothly running school, there must be a flexible liaison between the administration and the student. Such a coordinator is our Guidance Department, staffed by seven counselors, under the supervision of Mr. Roland Vitaletti. One function of the Guidance Department includes orienting the new student as he adjusts to the school, teachers, and fellow students. Through diagnostic testing, the student is encouraged to evaluate his strengths and weaknesses so he may choose a suitable career and training in high school. College-bound students are helped to select schools and to apply for admittance and scholarships. By the use of the up-to-date collection of college catalogues and vocational pamphlets, the Guidance Department is able to help the student look to the future.
