First, there are the naturally gifted athletes, who skillfully employ their God given skills in an efficient manner. Secondly, and most important, there are the scrappy competitors, who have developed their talents only by long and hard work. Among these competitors, there is a select group of athletes commonly referred to as sparkplugs , the real winners whose spirit and effervescence overflow to the rest of the team, instilling in them the spirit to win which these yell-guys so effectively harbor. Such on athlete was Dove Levin. On December 23 at 8:51 P.M., a tragic auto accident removed the name of Dave Levin from the Bomber starting five. Let us hope that his spirit is not absent too. Dave lived to see his team pile up a 3-0 record, winning games the experts said could not be won. We can think of a no more fitting tribute to this departed athlete than a season continued in that spirit, ending in a Conference Championship and perhaps greater honors. 49 Literary Staff Editors Salesmen Echoes Staff Photography Staff Art Staff Editor -in- chief Brian Oe Luca Typing Staff OFFICERS Class of 1964 President ....
