The new school presented problems in organization and procedure. The editor and staff have attempted to present a yearbook with a better cross section of school activities. Many new innovations will be found among its pages which we feel will make our 1962 Echoes one of the best. The senior play was You The Jury , all of which took place in the courtroom. A young lady was on trial for the murder of her employer. The testimonies were presented, and the lawyers gave some convincing arguments. As a twist ending, the audience was asked to vote, by show of hands, as to the defendants guilt or innocence. Both nights the decision was not guilty . The cast consisted of: Allan Woodward (D.A.) Boonton Opponents 14 Newton 0 26 Pequannock 13 13 Madison 13 13 Passaic Valley 13 6 Pompton Lakes 0 6 Wayne 7 40 Dover 0 0 Butler 13 On Thanksgiving Day the Bomber squad completed the 1961 football campaign with four wins, two ties, and two losses, a record which Boonton High may well be proud of. In the Dover game, Ray Dandrea led the offensive back-field, scoring four tmies. Jeff Jorgensen and Ed Muriano also scored with Paul Melgaard kicking the Pat's. The game with Passaic Valley, a bigger team than Boonton's, ended in a well-earned tie. The Turkey Day game with Butler was a very exciting game in which the Bombers came close to scoring in the quarter. The game was lost at a score of 13-0, but the Bombers may well be proud of their wholehearted efforts. At the annual football banquet, Ray Dandrea was declared the outstanding offensive back and was also awarded the Jodie Hopkin's award. John Delia and Dick Ballard were declared outstanding defense backs, while Jeff Jorgensen was announced to be the most improved player on the team. Tom Larson was named the outstanding offensive lineman, and Mike Ferrarie the outstanding defense lineman. Also deserving honorable mention are John Mitchell, Frank Brennan, John Allen, Rich Bubnick, Bob Grant, Pete Pawlikowski, and Hank Rothbart. We congratulate Head Coach Joe Molitoris, J.V. Coach Charles Backus, and assistant Coaches Richard Rizk and Leonard Contarino for their excellent coaching of the Bomber squad of '61. The 1961 Bombers will always be remembered for their undying spirit and their hard-fought games. 80 JUNIOR VARSITY First Row: J. Kiick, J. Daves, A. Tucker, K. Kyte, M. LoRusso, S. DiCarlo, B.
