GIRLS’ BASKETBALL — “Get That Rebound” We are all satisfied with the fine progress our girls made this year in basketball. They came out second in the Washington County League, a record to be proud of. FIELDBALL — “Play Ball” If success can be measured by sportsmanship, our girls deserve a lot of credit. The girls gave us many exciting games throughout the past season, and we wish them luck in the coming season. 17

BOYS’ BASKETBALL — “Here Come the Champs” This year’s squad is a team of which we can all be very proud. The final tally was 1 6 wins and 2 losses, one of the best records our school has ever had. We think our boys deserve a pat on the back for their fine sportsmanship and skillful play, and, last but not least — the Class B County Championship. SOCCER — “Kick That Ball” Our soccer team furnished plenty of thrilling games for their spectators. They put up a good fight throughout the season, one that they can all be proud of. 16

CHEERLEADERS — “H-o-H-o-H-o-t, D-o-D-o-D-o-g, Hot Dog” The work being done by this group of girls is an inspiration for the team as well as the spectators. The clever cheers have encouraged many a victory. MIXED OCTET — “Melody Makers” A new organization in our school, the octet furnished wonderful music for the Christmas program. It is made up of selected voices of both boys and girls. 18
