In the distance, we hear a spine-tingling, pop the clutch, the ape call of Tarzan Eekhoff as he swings along from one tree to another. fKen complains of the rainy weather in the jungle. A friend says it can't be too bad since he looks sunburned. Ken insists it is rust., A weekend excursion takes us to Frankfurt, Germany, home base for Head-Army Engl- neer, Ron Klasse. Aboard ship and bound for home, we notice Reg Tate, who has just recently joined the Navy. The captain asked him if he had cleaned the deck and polished the brass. Reg answered, Yes, Sir. And with my telescope I swept the horizon. fHow's that for am- bition D Scientist Professor Galen A. Engstrom, another passenger on our cruiser, is en route to Eagle Grove University to complete blueprints for his new invention -- an earthquake de- tector that works like an alarm clock. An alert fellow, he has an alternate patent ready for an alarm clock that works like an earthquake. fThat's the kind most of us need. J Ship nurse for the entire journey has been Ensign Joyce Hefty. She cares for seasick passengers by day and acts in the crew's play as a part of the ship's entertainment by night The play is styled after the Ben Casey series and named 0uch. Returning to the States, we are thrilled by the welcome sight of the Statue of Liberty. With great relief, we plant our feet firmly on native soil and watch the Fords go by. Here we find Fred Hansen as a Ford salesman, which reflects the enthusiasm he has always shown toward this great vehicle: Let me call you Lizzy I'm in debt for youg Let me hear you rattle As all good Fords do. Keep your headlights burning And your taillight too, Let me call you Lizzy I'm in debt for you. Before returning to Renwick, we make several more stops. I have always wanted to see a pro football game. With Gary Nerem as star quarterback, this event was a must. On to the Texan oil fields, we see Sharon Bosworth as a gusher type stenographer. fShe also married her boss and is doing oil right for herself.D Miss McDonald is a teacher. The other day she asked a troublemaklng pupil whether he had any brothers or sisters. The child answered, No, I'm the only child. Alice said, Thank goodness! fSurely the Boone Valley teachers didn't feel that way about any of the 1962 seniors.l Back in our home town we notice a local business firm, the May Bus Line with daily stops on streets in the southern end of town -- 8 A. M. sharp. Although Dennis has been out of school for twenty-three years, his car has such STRONG habits. You're probably thinking, Thank goodness the 1962 Class Prophecy is finished. I'1l justsay, I enjoyed the trip and thank you for reading this. HEETLAND PRODUCE ARDA'S BEAUTY SALON
