H.A. 3, 4, Speech 1, 2, 4, Drum Majorette 3, 4. Busy souls have no time to be busybodies. 3 5 We, the seniors of 1962, began our schooling at various places. C. Arne, Dawn Clowes, K. Eekhoff, N. Helmich, K. Helmke, D. Kelling, J. Kraft, E. Nelson, C, Nerem, G. Nerem, T. Nerem, S. Packard, R. Tate, L. Tlncher, and R. White began at Renwick. J. Anderson, Dave Clowes, G. Eng- strom, J. Hefty, R. Klasse, and G. Smith started at Vernon. D. May and R. Palmer started at Hardy. S. Bosworth, K. Emmert, H. Fisher, F. Hanson, A. McDonald, and P. Riley joined the class in later years. Hardy and Renwick sixth graders joined forces when the Renwick Community School was organized, and our Vernon classmates joined us in seventh grade when the Boone Valley School was organized. Highlight of our first year in high school was Freslunan Initiation. Our class officers were S. Packard, President, K. Nerem, Vice-President, S. Gregory, Secretary, and J. Hefty, Treasurer. Our sophomore class float won first prize in the 1959 Homecoming Parade. We elected C. Nerem, President, Dave Clowes, Vice-President: G. Smith, Secretary, and J. Hefty, Treasurer. We were very active in our junior year with the concession stand at ball games, first prize in the 1960 Homecoming parade, the Homecoming dance, the Junior Class Play, and the Junior-Senior Prom. Dave Clowes, T. Nerem, J. Kraft, and Dawn Clowes, respectively, led our class. Our senior year proved to be the most memorable and also the busiest. Remembrances from our final year at B. V. are Homecoming, senior trip to Cherokee, Skip Day, Junior-Senior Prom, straight I's at large group music contest, and of course, Baccalaureate and Commencement. We, the seniors of 1962, being of weak character and weaker minds do so will and be- queath the following items, knowing the school would be lost without them: I, Jim Anderson, will my height to Jim Cameron, knowing he could use several inches. Yet, I see he's getting along with some of the shorter girls without my help. I, Carol Arne, knowing that my horse is safer than my driving habits, will my horse to Gary Lowe in hopes that he can stay on the good side of Barney. We, Sharon Bosworth and Kathy Helmke, will our gift of gab and boisterous dispositions to Lyle Cameron, in case he wants to liven the place next year.

I, Dawn Clowes, will my dignity and keen interest in classes to Larry Hebner, knowing he'l1 make the best of them. l, Ken Eekhoff, will my unusual, mysterious attitude to Dave McCurry in hopes he'll have as much fun fooling people as I have. I, Kathie Emmett, will my journalism mess to Betty Engstrom after realizing that it needs a more efficient system. I, Galen Engstrom, will my quietness in study halls to the teachers, knowing they will need some rest time after attempting to teach the juniors something. I, Harlan Fisher, will my speech and English classes to Carol Ann Johnson, in hopes she can undo some of the damage I've done. I, Fred Hanson, will my 1960 convertible to Marilyn Schmits, so she won't have to always explain about Paul's bucket seats. We, Joyce Hefty and Roxie White, will our ambitious, always-on- time nature to Phil Hefty. I, Nancy Helmich, will my pretended bashfulness to Cheese Macha. Goodness only knows he needs it. I, Don Kelllng, will my blonde, blonde hair to Marlene Meyer so she won't have to spend so much time and money on peroxide. I, Ron Klasse, will my last name to Bev Hoveland. She'1l get it before long anyway. I, Jeri Kraft, will my ability to go with several boys at the same time to Carol Hesse, although she seems to have done a pretty good job of it already. I, Allce McDonald, will my ability to get along with the Junior Class so well to Donna McCurty, in case she gets lonesome for her college guy. I, Dennis May, will my hot Mercury to Charlie Dobbs: that is, if there is anything left of lt when I'm through. We, Earl Nelson, Steve Packard, and Dave Clowes, will our perfect attendance record to Paul Wanken because we know of no one else who can equal it. I, Clair Nerem, because of my ability to get on the good side of the teachers, will my pu1l to Marv Hoffman, in case he runs out of his share. We, Gary Nerem and Reggie Tate, will our ability to hang on to money to Ilm Schnetzer -- in case he wants to put a down payment on a new Wanderer. I, Terry Nerem, will my red hair to the junior girls, since my color doesn't wash out. I, Pearl Riley, will my silence in class to Dianne Nelson, hoping she'll take the hint and rest her vocal cords awhile. I, Glenda Smith, will falthough I hate to give it upj my ability to get along with Mr. Smith to LaVonne Veldhouse knowing she'll love to be his secretary next year. I, Larry Tincher, will my extreme quiet attitude in class to Tom Tjelle -- and you can take that any way you want to. To the teachers, we will our deepest gratitude for their patience while attempting to teach us something in these gracious Halls of Wisdom. To the Juniors, we will Room A, in hopes they'11 get a few of those A's on their report cards. To the Sophomores, we will our privileges as upperclassmen -- in case they get a chance to use them.
