THE CAST Lights, Camera, Actionl You're Tickling! The Junior Class presented a three-act comedy, Wednesday, November 4, 1959. The play, 'The Campbells Are Coming, was directed by Mr. Knapp. Ma Brannigan ---- ------------------------- R oberta Veldhouse Catalpa Tapp - - - ----- Sandy Kraft Betty Brannigan - - - ---- Judy Hansen Dick Brannigan - - - - - Tony Anderson Bildad Tapp - - ' ' -Jim McGowan Cyrus Scudder - - - ---- Ed Hebner Jeffrey Scudder - - - - - Larry Anderson Kaye Brannigan ---- - - Janet Hansen Kingston Campbell ---- - - - Gorden Jensen Mrs. Augusta Campbell - - - - - Penny McCurry The Junior Class play was a hilarious farce with hillbilly trimmings. Kay Branni- gan became engaged to a young snob, Kingston Campbell. The aristocratic Mrs. Camp- bell and son, believing the Brannigan family are hillbillies, arrived to find out the truth. The Brannigans appeared barefoot, dressed in rags, carrying shot guns, and frightening the Campbells. One riotously funny situation after another followed to the roaring cli- max. The play was directed by Mrs. Jensen. Young Dr. Drooper, a quiet, scholarly, English teacher, and Biff Watherspoon, the not-so-bright school football hero, had their personalities ex- changed while under hypnotic suggestion. Each believes himself to be the other, all to the confusion of the other characters. The confusion is unraveled in the end, but only after the transpiration of many humorous situations.
