SENIOR CLASS HISTORY September, 194-4, the doors of Capron High School opened to 32. of us titnid green FRESHMEN. Three of these tirnid Freshmen, Katherine Sallee, Bertha Capes, and Ransom Joplin, left us early in the year. Our class advisor was Miss Jeanne Nelson. During our first week, we experienced initiation. Later we gave the Sophomores a return party. When school opened the following fall, thirty-three industrious SOPHO- MORES returned. Dick Moshier was with us a while, later Shirley Dunker joined us. One of our outstanding events of this year was a trip the Biology class took under the supervision of Mr. Elrner Hopperstead. In 1946, thirty-four persistent JUNIORS returned. This year we were joined by lla Gunderson, and Glen Hermanson. Arlene Mizner left us soon after school started. Our biggest event of this year was the junior Class Play, The Groom Said No, given under the direction of Mrs. Robert Dunker. Those participating in the play were: Richard johnson, Marion Wright, Roma Seaver, Margaret Frye, lla Gunderson, Robert Munson, Virginia Gorton, john Georgeson, Ted Holliday, Edna johnson. Our banquet and prom turned out very successfully. We entertained the Seniors at the Wagon Wheel at Roscoe for the banquet. The prom was held at the high school with Candy Land as our theme. Upon theleaving of Mrs. Dunker during the second semester, Mr. William LaCroix became our class advisor. Robert Svensen, and Robert Fleming joined us during the second semester. Thirty-five studious SENIORS returned in 1947 to finish their four years in Capron High. Dardanell Rambow, Fred Rambow, Alrna Duke and Vivian Smith left us this year, but Edward Anderson, Betty Ball, Robert Cline, and Roger johnson joined us. We have been very busy this year having paper drives and bake sales to earn money for our class trip to Washington, D. C. and points east, which has become a traditional trip for each senior class upon graduation from Capron High School.
