We ace geniau- v - Last September we were startled by the realization that this would be our last year here in high school. No more report cards, book reports, or semester tests. no more proms, school parties, or club meetings-no more of high school. When we passed from grade school to this large building. Boone High School, our idols were the seniors. those who knew the building that we didn't know, knew the teachers. and laughed and talked when walking through the halls be- tween classes while we ran for fear of being late. l We grew up. We took the place of those idolized seniors, and now we are being graduated-leaving behind this building that holds memories no amount of money could replace. Now that the time has come, we almost hesitate, almost hate to take that step. We hate not only to think of leaving the building, but of losing contact with our many friends and teachers. Yet we can't help being proud, proud of that certificate that says that we are graduates of Boone High School. Our thanks and gratitude to the teachers who helped us grow up. SMITH.
