Tennis The lf!-11 tennis season had one of the largest turnouts for many a year. Pictured below is the 1941 squad which was undefeated in dual matches. The netsters. coached by Ray Lamb. are Oliver Briggs. Don Lamb. Dick Farley. and Dick Lantz. Sophomore Basketball Sophomore basketball has a definite place in Boone athletics. For the second consecutive year the Sophomores captured the Central Iowa Conference title. Frank O'Connor. their coach. is now working for Uncle Sam. SWViIIlIl1iIl2 Paced by Bob Anderson. the swimming team had a successful season. Andy honors Boone by holding the state -10-yard free style title and by helping break the record in the 300-yard medley. Baseball Interest in Boone Highs baseball squad has reached a new high. One of the members, Don Reed. is now training with the St. Louis Cardinals. Golf Boones fine golf team was composed of four seniors: Charles Updegraff. Bill Doran.
