The Bumble B issued bi-monthly has a capable and etticient editorial and advertising staff including Mary Elizabeth Lees and Virginia Erickson, editors, Mary Ellen l-lo'mes, busineii manager, and Miss Dagmar l-lansen, Miss Wernli, and Mr, Lcngnecker, ad- XHSEIVS. 5 ai-Q Miss Shaler, Mrs. Stevens, Miss Podendort, and Mr, Watson, Scrollette advisers, supervise the work of putting out a book pleasing to the student body. This group ot students, with Everett Casey as editor and Miriam l-lalverson as business manager, had the task ot publishing this year book. '95 Bi-annually students are admitted to the Quill and Scroll, International Honor Society for l-ligh School Journalists, as a result ot excellent work on one ot the school publications. They must also be in the upper one-third of their class and be approved by the Noe tional Secretary. Otticers ot the society are Virginia Erickson, presi- dent, Janet i-lill, vicefpresident, Marx Elizabeth Lees, secretary, Dagmar Hansen, sponsor.

Wilson, treasurer U?-' l jf Students' problems are quickly settled when taken to Miss l-larvey, girls' adf viser, or Mr. Fisher, boys' adviser and vicefprincipol, Mr. Evans is our principal, and it is his duty to see that our institution rdns smoothly and with precision. He is pictured with his etticient clerk, Miss Battey, whose tasks are as many as they are varied. Mr, Van Ness, our superintendent, has been particularly busy this year as the result of the construction of the three beautiful new grade school buildings. l-le is shown here giving dictation to his secretary, Miss Benson. The Executive Board ot the Student Council aids in governing the student body. lt includes: Eugene Standley, president, Sylvia Robertson, secretary, Ray Eytcheson, vice-president, and Wilma Berglund, Dick Jordan, Mildred Book, Imogene Carpenter, Maurice Good, and Mr. Evans, faculty member.

Twice a week the physics students have laboratory hours. Bob Barnard, Rex Fuller, a n d Ruthanne l-lerrald are busy apply- ing their book learningfl l-lere we see Mr. VVatson directing the work of some future commercial artists 'they hopel. Q' WORKSHOPS ln our workshops or classrooms the students are busy piling up credits which will entitle them to a diploma. By careful planning and selection of electives a pupil may aualify for un- conditional college entrance in either of the vocational courses. Six courses ore offered which are di- vided into two groups: l. College Preparatory Courses A. Language Course B. Social Science Course C. Scientific Course ll. Vocational Course A. Commercial Course B. Arts and Crafts Course C. Agriculture Course In the library you will find students doing every- thing from sleeping to actual studying. l-lere you see a good example of what should be done. lncidentally, Mrs. Stev- ens, the librarian and Scrollette adviser, is in the background. ln this room, under the supervision of Mr. Hart- ley, these students learn to be efficient bookkeep- ers.
