The enrollment reached its highest point last year, when eighty-five students registered in Boone Jun- ior College. lt is gratifying to note that over fifty per cent of all students who have enrolled have continued their education by transferring their credits to some advanced college or university. The success of this growing or- ganization may be attributed Although they had a poor season, the J, C. Bears rallied and showed plenty of fighting spirit JR. moinly to the efforts of J. R. Thorngren, Deon of the Junior College since it wos first creoted. Other members of the foculty in- clude Korl Longnecker, Ciroce Slosson, Ethel Whitney, Welker Bechtel, ond l-l. L. Cunninghom. Clorence Boin, cooch, Cotherine Jones, physicol director, Sybil Lomb, dromotic cooch, Kenneth l-lokes, musicol director, ond Zoe Stevens, librorion, olso serve the junior college. Regulorly offered to the stu- dents who desire to complete four yeors of college work is the Liber- ol Arts Course, requiring two yeors of junior college for comple- tion, ofter which the groduotes in this course moy tronsfer their credits to olmost ony university of the middle west. Our junior college is still in its youth, it is true. But in these yeors of higher civilizotion, when the preservotion of our demo- crocy is constontly becoming more dependent on the educo- tion of the people, who knows in- to whot greot institution it might develop, in twenty yeors, or even ten?
