i .-:www A BITTER BLUE DAY was a turf job, but we won. Remember unloading the sod from the trucks. Then some of it had to be cut into sprigs and carried in wheelbarrows to different parts of the ground where eager planters were all ready to get started. We all had certain jobs to do as we planted our school desert in grass just before the Christmas holidays. Each class had a different part of the grounds to do, so it really didn't take long to plant the three acres. Everyone seemed to enjoy getting on his hands and knees and planting the bitter bluegrass. The idea of the planting originated with our prin- ' cipal, Mr. Earl Kipp, and the Student Council officers.
