Social Science Department The Social Science Department this year offered World history, civics, international problems, American government, world geography. American history was not offered this year because of a change from sophomore to junior requirement. Teaching these subjects were Don Stahl, department head, Miss Joan Anderson, Mrs. Priscilla Cook, and Mrs. Kathryn McKay. The object of this department is to give high school students a broader knowledge of events about them, both present and past, and a greater under- standing of the peoples of the World, thus preparing them to meet world con- ditions with intelligent appraisal.
