Develops Future Leaders For Marketing And Distribution The Distributive Education Clubs of America is the national organization of high school students enrolled in DE classes throughout the country. Members of DECA: Serve on committees to plan professional and social activities-or, act as chair- man of a committee. Attend the annual district, state or national DECA Leadership Conference as an elected delegate. Help plan the annual banquet which the club gives in honor of employers. Compete in district, State and national DECA contests. Awards are given in Advertising, Display, job Interview, Public Speaking, Sales Demonstration and many others. The organization of the National Honor Society is one expres- sion of this concern. Membership in the National Honor Society has become recognized as one of the highest honors that can be bestowed upon a high school student.
