F REWORD Realizing that another year has come to a joyful and sorrowful end, we, the Senior Class of 1960 take another step forward. It has been joyful in that we have reached a most determined destiny, sorr owful in that we are leaving our friends, teachers, and dear Alma Mater. However, we realize there is no stopping place here. Our most desired goals are yet to be achieved. Having spent a period of prosper- ous and educational years here at Washington High School, we feel that we are ready to attack future problems. We wish to thank the principal, faculty, and students for their instructions, cooper- ation, services, and spirit during our years with them. We owe special recognition to Mrs. McRae and Mr. Young for services rendered in making this publication possible. We hope that some of the most outstanding events of the past year have been captured on the pages of this, the Pioneer of 1960. A Betty Jean Abbott Editor -in-Chief 2 DEDICATIO To those who, through sacrifice, patience, generosity and sym- pathy, have provided unseliishly for the successful termination of our high school careers, and to those who vicariously will enjoy our future endeavors, satisfactions, and achievements, we, the members of the class of 1960, dedicate this annual--Our Parents. 3 ADMINISTRATICD f 5 C.
