f r. , ai Foreword We the class of '55 wish to extend our heart-felt gratitude to the students and teachers who have made it possible for us to spend such a successful and appreciative four years at Booker T . Washington High School, It was an honor as well as a privilege for our class to be the first to enter and complete four years of study in the new school in its new and present lo- cation, We owe our most commemorable moments to our teachers and student body, who we must leave behind, ln all sincerity and determination we think of the future and the goal we must acquire. We wish to leave our warmest appreciation to our advisors, Miss Campbell, Mrs. McRae, and Mr. Young for their co-operation in helping to make this publication of the Pioneer a success. We want to thank them for their time and patience toward making our class projects worth-while. We are sure that they will continue their good work in preparing the students for the future, We hope that in the years to come, the students will strive to obtain in every way their most desired ambition, Realizing the years that lie ahead of us, the different responsibilities that now confront us, the various walks of life from which we must make a choice, the challenge of our motto rings out-- Today We Launch, Where Shall We Anchor.
