Georgia Dubose james Welch Rosie Thomas jacqueline Wilson IP? MI' fi Lucile Woods Evelyn jackson Mary Brooks Mauristine Crawford g ' by: Catherine Lennon just as it is impossible for one nation to pull out facts and experiences of the past without bringing into focus the proper relationships of these facts with events in the lives of other peoples, so it is impossible for us to mingle the facts concern- ing the various sections of our class without due consideration to each section. Therefore, we, who are members of this class. would like to direct your attention to these fact s. Some of us have been together through the years, and we must make note here that they have been very cooperative years. While bewildered at times, we have been able to adapt ourselves to various situations and developments with the help and en- couragement of our wonderful instructor,Mrs. Pheobe Simmons, Mr. Walker and Mr. W. W. Morrell. The thrill of having had these instructors yet lingers with us. Many of our classmates have participated in various curricular as well as extra-curricular activities, excelling in both. We would like to make note here that our class was the first class in the history of the evening school to have access to the Chemistry Laboratory. We feel that this was truly an honor. Many of our class mates made the ed- ucational tours with the Student Council. Our class was honored by the selection of various students who reigned as queens on several different occasions. Many of our fellow CIBSS HIHISS have been given due recognition for their perfect attendance records. As we progressedcloser to the finish line, we found that many members of our class had excelled in scholarship and brought many honors to our class. Many of them have been honor stu- dents for a number of years. Now we have come to the cross- roads and we find at the helm, Ralph Williams who is President of the Student Council. Our Senior Class Officers include: Ralph Williams, Pres., Reather Williams, Vice Pres., Catherine Lenon, Sec'y., Wilma Bolton, Treas., Oscar Roman, Business Manager. As we aspire to greater heights, it is fitting that we give our sincere thanks to Mrs. Vera Hector, Mr. Courtland S. Greene and Miss Nadine Mathews who have guided us to the last stretch of the run. All in all, we have had a good time. Through the years, life has been abundantly beautiful. Washing- ton has laid a foundation for us on which we can build wonder- ful futures and beautiful lives. To the tune of: Old Genevieve Dear Washington High Dear Washington High The day has come to say goodbye. We'l1 miss our friends and faculty, and all the things We love so well. For us the years were wonderful, Our hopes and dreams have all come true. God Bless the day when first we met, May happiness remain with you - - -- Dear Washington High Dear Washington High Our thoughts of you will never die. We'll think of you where 'ere we go, And strive to reach the highest goal. by: Lillian Foston Motto: Coo eration and Unification - necessities for Pro ress S 43
