Again that year we worked hard in the cafeteria to make money at the Hallowe ' en Carnival . In ' 54 we started our Freshman year of high school. Mrs. Betty Leonard wel- comed us as our home room teacher. That year we received a big thrill getting used to our new schedule, having more than one teacher, and changing classes. Our class officers were President, Wayne Rose; Vice - President, Donald Whitt; Secretary and Treasurer, Sonny Dark. In ' 56 we entered our Junior year of high school. Mr, Wilson had to divide his time between duties as principal and being our home-room teacher. Class Officers this time were President, Boyd Harris; Secretary, Emma J e an Calicutt; Treas- urer, Earl Phillips. That year we gave the Junior play, which was titled Aunt Cathy ' s Cat . . It was a great success, we thought, and we surely enjoyed every minute of the production. The high spot of that year was the Junior-Senior Banquet, which we, along with the Seniors, enjoyed very much. Being host to the Seniors gave us a special thrill and made us feel impo rtant .
