CLASS HISTORY As we, the Seniors of 1950, complete with caps and gowns, march down the aisle for the last-- time as students of Bonlee Hi, it is altogether fitting and proper t hat we should stop and relive our high school ex- periences, In 1946, thirty-two timid Freshmen. quietly took their places among the upperclassmen. We elected Edwin Lee Thompson as president, and Betty Sue Brafford as secretary, to lead us through the year. In our Sophomore year, we no longer were shy and bashful. The girls made very efficient waitresses for the Junior-Senior Banquet. We elected the following officers: president, Betty Sue Brafford; secretary, Myrna Lou Moffitt, and treasurer, Billie Emerson. With the Junior-Senior Banquet on our calendar as Juniors we had to call on our powers as moneymakers. Billie Emerson, our class presi- dent, proved master of the situation and we ended the year with some money to spare. The cafeteria was transformed into “An Old Fashioned Garden” on the night of May 6th, when we entertained the Seniors with a banquet. We proved that we could be actors and actresses as well as moneymakers with the presentation of “Papa Says No!”’ which was a howling success. At the beginning of our Senior year, we realized that the title “Sen- iors’? not only meant ‘‘the highest” but it also meant added responsi bili- ties. Among other things we found ourselves with the annual and school paper to edit. Then there was the Senior play. Much to be enjoyed was the planning and realization, in the spring, of the trip to Washington and other places. Of course, the highlight of our four years was gradua- tion with all of its pomp, excitement, and thrills. Above all of the serious things, we shall always remember the good times we had on trips, at patties, and get-togethers. Class Historian Myrna Lou Moffitt

CLASS PROPHECY Good evening, ladies and gentlemen: This is station BEBOPS, located on the beautiful Woodland Drive near the exclusive residential section of Nolwood in Bonlee, North Carolina. Tonight we bring you news of those fifteen memorable seniors who graduated just ten years ago tonight from the fine high school located here. The high school from which they graduated was the first one located here, and even though the town has grown and the number of schools has moved to four, never has a class graduating from any of them been known to achieve such great feats. Each has made his mark in the world and may be said to be outstanding in his own field. But——on with the news— Clinton Lindley has followed in his father’s footsteps and is now the principal of Bon- lee High School. He has just added a new subject to his high school courses called ‘‘Prob- lems of Matrimony,” which is being very efficiently taught by Miss Myrna Lou Moffitt. Rex Dowd is the athletic director in the new high school gymnasium which has recently been named the ““Mid-Century” in memory of the class of 1950. Billie Emerson is now widely known for the great job he did as heady of the Wobbly Construction Company which was in charge of the building program. Faye and Maye Willett have just been been unanimously voted as the “Toni Twins of the Year.” For winning this great title, each twin received a Tony Refill Kit free of charge. The “Phillips. % Andrew Garage’ located in the heart of the busines section of Bonlee, ‘is doing a great business under the management of Lewis Phillips and Glenn Andrew. Their famous motto, “Beauty Before Age’’ (cars, that is) has helped their thriving business. Jean Carol Joyce has just won her third divorce case and is now looking for her fourth ‘victim. Her private lawyer, Joseph Dunn, is recovering from a nervous breakdown be- cause of too much excitement and overwork. Coleene Phillips and Betty Sue Brafford now own an ice cream bar in North Bonlee called the “Polar Bar.’’ Miss Phillips and Miss Brafford express their gratitude to Bonlee School for training them in their senior year for this work. Louise White is now on a tour of the world with her husband, who recently inherited some money from his rich uncle. On their return they will be at home in their log cabin located near Gaines’ Grove. Thelma Binkley is now a settled housewife and mother. She can be seen leaving her mansion in Goldston nearly every afternoon, taking her two children for their daily joy ride in her mew Mercury. Ada Mae Watson has just returned from the ‘Old Maid’s Convention’? which is held annually at Rabbit’s Crossroads. Miss Watson was highly honored this year at the con- vention by winning the title of the “Typical Old Maid.’ She wishes to notify everyone that ¢he will not be available to make public appearances as she will be ‘‘dated’’ up far the coming week while getting prepared for the National honor. That’s all the news for toright. This is your announcer, I, M. Annoying, predicting even greater things for these fifteen in the future and wishing all of you a goodnight. Pro phetess Ada Mae Watson
