CLASS HISTORY As we, the Seniors of 1950, complete with caps and gowns, march down the aisle for the last-- time as students of Bonlee Hi, it is altogether fitting and proper t hat we should stop and relive our high school ex- periences, In 1946, thirty-two timid Freshmen. quietly took their places among the upperclassmen. We elected Edwin Lee Thompson as president, and Betty Sue Brafford as secretary, to lead us through the year. In our Sophomore year, we no longer were shy and bashful. The girls made very efficient waitresses for the Junior-Senior Banquet. We elected the following officers: president, Betty Sue Brafford; secretary, Myrna Lou Moffitt, and treasurer, Billie Emerson. With the Junior-Senior Banquet on our calendar as Juniors we had to call on our powers as moneymakers. Billie Emerson, our class presi- dent, proved master of the situation and we ended the year with some money to spare. The cafeteria was transformed into “An Old Fashioned Garden” on the night of May 6th, when we entertained the Seniors with a banquet. We proved that we could be actors and actresses as well as moneymakers with the presentation of “Papa Says No!”’ which was a howling success. At the beginning of our Senior year, we realized that the title “Sen- iors’? not only meant ‘‘the highest” but it also meant added responsi bili- ties. Among other things we found ourselves with the annual and school paper to edit. Then there was the Senior play. Much to be enjoyed was the planning and realization, in the spring, of the trip to Washington and other places. Of course, the highlight of our four years was gradua- tion with all of its pomp, excitement, and thrills. Above all of the serious things, we shall always remember the good times we had on trips, at patties, and get-togethers. Class Historian Myrna Lou Moffitt
