The most impor- tant things in a student's life were classes and their affiliates: teachers, homework, and grades. Students spent many hours on schoolwork: reading, solving problems, writing reports, and taking notes. Amid this' drudgery underclassmen could always be seen smiling, however, because school also Vg?
