The Bonita Vista Girls Volleyball put together another strong season, under the line coaching of Jan Kimball. The team paced by lVletro leagues MVP Ann Taylor won their 3rd straight Nletro title. The girls worked together to insure the best shots possible. There was consistent setting by Kathy George, Marla Henderson, and Patty DeGange, and powerful front row spiking of Dana Wall and Lucy Casarez. Consistent play was always provided by Sue Crews, Tami Steinwand, and Rowena Cruz. The season's night games proved highly successful as well as upsetting. The season's only loss occurred against Hilltop, who went on to capture the CIF title, in a tough fought game. Another night game against Nlarian was the highlight of the season with the Barons playing to their potential. In the CIF playoffs Bonita Vista was upset by La Jolla due to lack of execution. Ann Taylor played her hardest even though just out of the hospital, but the girls failed to meet the tired up Viking standards. i0pposite page, far leftl- Varsity team members are: back row I to r- Kathy Eyres, Patty DeGange, Ann Taylor, Coach Jan Kimball. 3rd row, I to r- Lucy Casarez, Rowena Cruz. 2nd row I to r- Kathy George, Dana Wall, Tami Steinwand.
