Bwum Band Again P 8 iAbove leftJAThe interest and patience with which lVlr. Gee works brings excellent results. CAbove, rightl Drum major Ed Fuller is the bands spark of perfection. This summer Ed will be the first drum major, still in high school, to be teaching at major camps in the state, He is the California State's, the All-Western Band Review's, San Diego County's, and the SSC Disneyland's Champion Drum Major. Firsts this year came in the Autumn, Montclair, and 36th Annual All- Western Band Reviews andthe Arrago High School and Southwestern Specialty Clinics Disneyland Competitions. CLeftl The hours of practice depicted here produced many beneits. The band as a whole earned first place awards at the Bonitafest Parade, the Autumn Band Review, and the California Band Review. The Drum Corps alone received a hrst at the Southwestern Jr, College Cadence Compeptition. The band was a participant in the non-competitive Bonita Vista Field Show Tournament and Fiesta de las Luna Parade. As a spirit promoter the band enhanced many school activities with enthusiasm, variety, and excitement. 33

Their work paid off with a successful season, second runner-ups in the IVlontclaire Festival of Bands and taking fourth place in the Fallbrook Parade. In addition, they took a third place in the Chaffey College Field Show Tournament and participated in the Bonitafest and the Fiesta De La Luna Parades. The Barons hosted their own Bonita Vista Field Show Tournament at Southwestern College.
