She received a B.A. from UCSB., majoring in English and political science. She hopes to increase each student's self-respect through education and self- awareness. She enjoys tennis, indoor and outdoor gardening and reading. tAbove, rightl Mrs, Nancy West hopes to teach overseas again. She also strives toward being an effective teacher and an empathetic listener. Now teaching reading and small group communication, she enjoys photography, film making, skiing, tennis, traveling, and sewing. She earned her BA with a major in Social Science and a minor in English from SDSU. fCenter, leftl Mrs. Linda Hendricks feels that offering positive experiences helps students build character. She teaches world literature and a jobs course, She received her BA at San Diego State College. She now enjoys reading, sewing, and walking on the beach. CCenter, rightl, Mr. George Clayton believes that only those who are educated are free. He demonstrates this through dedicating his teaching to Spanish 1,2,3,4, and 5. He received his MA degree from USIU and a BA from SDSU. Later in his life he dreams of retirement, after about 18 more times around and to try fencing. Uumping overl KLower leftl Mrs. Cheryl Selles teaches American lit., college prep, and is the hard working advisor for the annual staff. She received a BA in English from the University of Oregon, and is working on her MA at SDSU. She hopes to help each student achieve his potential and would like to feel she has done her best at whatever she attempts. In high school she enjoyed clubs and organizations, and being on the paper staff. She now enjoys reading, traveling, and playing tennis. tLower, rightl Mr. Bob Flores follows his belief that education is not for everyone, and that too many students do not belong on a high school campus. He feels that some students have little closed minds that need to be opened and made to see the world. He teaches American Literature, small group discussion, mythology, and advanced oral communications. He attended San Diego Mesa and SDSU and majored in speech arts, English, and anthropology and earned his BA and MA degrees. 196 1 Q 3? ' 'i
