Campus clubs combine the two aspects of school life: activities and academics. Such clubs also provide outlets for creative in- terests and deviation from classroom cur- riculum. The enthusiasm of the studentry has given our clubs a tremendous start toward success. Through many hours of hard work and planning by the advisors and student club officers, sixteen clubs were established this year with more organizations planned for next. Four clubs, S Club, Service Club, Girls' League, and Key Club, were organized solely for the purpose of service. Definitely the quotation, Service via Spirit, is a good description of the dedication that these organizations exhib- ited Four organizations, Citizenship, Letter- men, C.S.F., and Scholarship are honorary, giving proper respect to those individuals who have achieved great heights, and thus contributed to the glory of the Baron spirit. The remaining eight clubs, Modern Dance, Drama Club, Speech Club, Spanish Club, Pep Club, G.A.A., and the News- paper and the Annual staff, have no con- nection with each other, but have sought by working individually in their own par- ticular field to promote such an organi- zation that would not only live up to the goal set by that club, but to the high standards of the sixteen clubs here at Bonita Vista High School. lVlost surely, we can be proud of the many accomplish- ments of our clubs. They exemplify what a dedicated club can do with spirit such as ours.

Perhaps a most important factor essential for a successful year- book is cooperation between the staff advisor and the editors, work- ing together always, whether it be over layouts, captions, or copy. Annual production requires much hard work and responsibility. This year's EXCALIBUR staff overcame these problems and produced the first of many great yearbooks to come! ' -nv-.....b.
