OLUQCL Bonita s Student Body organlzation has this year been led by Thurl Myer president Richard Stuber vice president and Marilyn Michael secretary A Iull program of activity has been enioyed by the students with two assembly programs a Week and one social affair a month The Welfare Council made up of the Student Body officers the presidents of the four classes and four representatives of the classes together with six faculty advrsers has met occa high school Monday assembly programs have been varied this year Many speakers have appeared before the students and have brought messages of varied interest Among the speakers were Dr Bron Clifford the Bev Mr Velasco and Russell Conwell Ross who gave an excellent talk entitled The Hand on My Shoulder Other programs that were enioyed immensely included a stunt assembly of gymnastic acts done by a selected group of Bonita boys a musical assembly by the two Boughton brothers from Pomona who performed the spectacular feat of playing four clarmets at the same time a group of solorsts from the Pomona Presbyterian Church who sang selections from Saint Saens Chrrstrnas Mass and a group of rnuslcal numbers by La Verne College students The Bonita Student Body was especially honored this year 1n being able to secure Dr Harold Urey to speak about the atomic bomb Dr Urey won the f ' sionally to plan and direct affairs which affect the entire student group of the
