W 5 'Tl Sophomore Class History On September 2 , 1958, twenty-eight Sophomores entered Bonesteel high school for a second year. Barbara Johnson moved after our first 9-weeks tests, leaving us with 27. The class officers for the Sophomore class are: President, Jerry Spltzenbergerp Vice-President, Kay Aisenbrey: Secretary-Treasurer, Jeanni Haischg and Student Council Representative, Bonnie Leslie. Mr. Mead and Mr. Backus are our class sponsors. Kay Aisenbrey and Dennis Jons were chosen to be King and Queen candidates to re- present the Sophomore class. Nine Sophomores are members of the band. Fourteen girls are in the A and B Glee Club. Vocal and Piano soloists going to Kimball are: Jeanni Haisch, Larry Schmitz, and Judy Joyce. Bonnie Leslie, Judy Joyce, and Jeanni Haisch were chosen A team cheerleaders. Nine boys went out for football and six are out for basketball. Eight of the Sophomores participated in Declamation. We, the Seniors of 1961 have just completed our second year of high school, and are willing to come back for two more years.
