Ronnie Bentson joined us during the fifth week and Richard Bailey quit at the end of the first se- mester. The first big event of the year was initiation. We all survived and had quite a bit of fun. Our Sophomore year rolled around and found us with 21 members. In November Henry Camin joined the class and in February, Joyce Schochenmaier moved to Raymond, Minnesota. We started our Junior year with 19 enrolled. Mavis King came during the second six weeks, but left soon after. Our main goal was to make money. First we had a magazine drive and did quite well. We sold refreshments at all football and basketball games. Our Junior Play, One Wild Night, directed by Miss Gladys Sutton was re- ceived very well. The Theme for the Junior-Senior Banquet was the Tropi - canna. Patty McDonald went to Mitchell for Girls' State and Loren Sieh went to Aberdeen for Boys' State. At last it is here. The Big Year has arrived!! ! ! ll We enrolled with 20 Seniors. The first week we gained John Swanda. This leaves us with 11 boys and 10 girls. The first thing we did was initiate the Freshmen. We weren't too hard on them and they are our friends - we hope. Connie Hoffman and Roy Vogt were Homecoming Queen and King. Betty Dion and Bill Leslie were Queen and King of the Camival of 1958-'59. Our Senior Class Play, Father Knows Best, was very good. It was directed by Mrs. Lillian McDonald. Four Seniors are in the Vocal Solo contest, at Kimball. They are Bill Leslie, Don Aisenbery, Melva Sip and Patty McDonald. This year two'Seniors went to the District Declam Contest. They were Melva Sip and Patty McDonald. Loren Sieh made All-State in Football. Carroll Anderson made Honorable Mention in Football. In Basketball there were three boys. They were Bill Leslie, Carroll Anderson, and Loren Sieh.
