FIRST GRADE One sunny dayin the fall of '57 this first grade class took a tour of some of the in- teresting spots in Des Moines. We visited the State Office Building and crossed to the State House through the 390, 000 tunnel. There we met Governor Hoegh. Then we went to the State Historical Building. At noon we ate our lunch on the lawn. Next we visited the Hi-lan Dairy Company, and were treated to chocolate milk. We also visited the Register and Tribune Building, and Younkers Department Store. By that time everyone was ready to start for home. It was a big day for each of us. DENNISTON AND PARTRIDGE
