SIXTH GRADE This year the sixth graders gave a reading program for their Mothers. They worked very hard on presenting it and they hope their mothers enjoyed it. Dana Hamlin's poster was chosen for the exhibit in Des Moines at the Armory for the Dental Health Program Danny Fenimore's was second, and Carolyn Enlow's poster was third place. During the year we lost Donald Hall when he moved to Corydon, Iowa and Linda Williams to Woodward, Iowa. Carolyn Enlow joined our room from Farrar, Iowa in December. 'Pl

Both the girls' and boys' teams have very good records, Gerry White, Bill Frakes, David Hamlin, J im Tomlinson, and Dennis Smith have played on the boys' team. The seventh grade girls on the team were Edna Justice, Sheila Maloney, ,Tane1McC1eary, .T 0311 Iseminger, and Linda Harris. On December 14, 1956, we had a skating party at the Ankeny Skateland. FIFTH GRADE Fifth grade was mostly devoted to learning about our United States, how to work fractions, learning about our bodies, and developing better skills in arithmetic, reading and language arts. We enjoyed our classroom parties and our field trips. We particularly enjoyed our pioneer unit and the candy sale we sponsored.
