A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SENIOR A blue ford peels into the Kinney residence Buzz comes home after a hard nights work?779lBuzz got off at 12 O0 but takes the long way homel Mike, Ward, Darrell, Howard, R Herb with the help of a few other members think it would cause some excitement to dump over a thrash xmachine but upon better judgement go home instead As Bonnie, Betty and cCarolyn, Mary Jo are coming into town after ta taking a little ride with Shorty, they meet theyboys on their journe ome ry decides to go 1n the house because she has a date with someonelse tomorrow night Arlene wakes up after a dream about being with Jimmy Arlene falls dreamly asleep Howard lays awake in bed declding whether to get up and do chores or go back to sleep until 6 OO Wayne gets out of bed and the floor is too cold on h1s bare feet so he crawls back in Herby rlses to the call of the gas pump All Senior boys have elther jumped, crawled or fell out of bed Oral calls Betty Lou wak1ng her from a dream of sallors A football players Zona rushes to the store to see if there are any letters Jimmy starts his journey to school to drive the school bus All SeH1OPS except Buzz are safely at school Buzzer rlngs Miss Wesp pounds the paper weight on the desk for order She has no luck Miss Wesp pounds again and gives Dene and Darrell the eye for talking Classes pass Marilyn heads for the office Nancy, Carolyn, Howard, and Jimmy trudge into Chemistry ?? class Ila Mae, Mary Ellen and Bonnie decide to clean trophy case to get the girl's trophies in front Buzz comes dragglng into Chemistry class The senlors that don't go to Biology or have to work on book Kathleen and Dene compare Book keeping workbooks getting on other subjects now and then Thirtheen bright seniors go to typing class Miss Wesp can t see how seniors don't have more words in their vocabulary, also why they don't use better English Nine seni rs head for English class Buzz goes to sick room for morning nap Mary Ellen comes to Engllsh after spending half of the morning uptown drinking coffee wlth Buzz and Wayne at Pearl's Place Mary Ellen runs down and tells Bunz its time for Economics Senlors pass to Economics Class is a quiet roar Mr Kennedy has yet to arrive All is quiet Mr Kennedy just came in Mr Kennedy asks Darrell if the Co op 15 a good thing Darrell replies, I s pose Mr Kennedy interupts class to ask Herby if he is st111 wlth us Economics is d1Sm1SSed Lunch bell rings Hooray ' Seniors RUN to lunchroom Mike, Rose, Dene and Darrell start their usual noon hour VISITING Senlor girls gathered around the candy bars and Junior girls at desk while Senlor boys try to f1nd out what the girls did last night Buzzer rings All Seniors go to their prospective seats Miss Wesp taps on desk Not much luck Mr Kennedy comes in All is quiet M1ss Wesp decides she should take milk count Classes pass Senior home ec girls and ag boys go QUIETLY downstairs The rest of the sen1ors elther head for the typing room or the store room Nancy is found 1n the typing room talking to a couple of junior keeping, congregate in store room to work?!!!? on the annual. . bo s y Mary Jo and Betty working on shorthand in the Store Room Carolyn and lla Mae rush down to studyhall to do shorthand for class at l L0 Carolyn, Ila Mae, Arlene and Kay go to shorthand class Miss Wasp wonders why they always get so thirsty at shorthand time Ag boys and home Ec girls come quietly back into the study hall Basketball girls and boys all having practice together and scurry to the gym Marilyn decides she better take the money up to the bank Arlene heads for Mrs Koopman's room Remaining seniors h ad for storeroom to work on annual Basketball girls dismissed Bonnie decides to have a giggling spell Jim y heads for bus barn Rew 7 and 8 dismissed Buzz takes off for the I Darrell drops Bene off at her driveway Sonya is up at Pearls for an afternoon snack Jimmy arrives back from the bus route All seniors safely home except for Nancy who is at Doc Nancy gets off work, goes home to wash hair and see if she can't figure out a new hair style Boys th1nk they should go rabbit hunting Boys insist Darrel drive as he's really the safest driver Seib leaves Mary's house qBoys meet at Mikes Pile into the 'Olds' and take off for the wild woods Denny comes over to see Marilyn Tommy goes to bed Seib comes back to mary's house Find boys on the streets of Des Moines seeing what is running loose Ila Mae wishing lt was friday night so she could see Ron Boys at drive in restaurant trying to persuade ar hop to get in the car, out of the cold weather Boys decide it's late enough to find a few rabbits now Zona and Arlene finish writing to their service men Marilyn sends Denny home Says she has a full day ahead of her Mary Jo sends Seib home so Pearl won't come out in her nightgown to tell him what time if is Carolyn tells Gale he better go home now Gale leaves Carolyns All seniors in bed except for Mary Ellen Floyd goes out after Mary l 00 Each SENIOR IS SNUGGLED ALL WARM IN HIBB BED after putting in another day as a Bondurant 1951.
