'-ws... ual- W The new grade school was the most striking improvement at Bonduel this year The building completed in the summer of 1953 has seven modern classrooms a spacious kitchen and a cafeteria plus several stoierooms Each classroom is built and arranged to provide the best atmosphere for both student and teacher Bonduel and the surrounding community have again shown their interest in education by erecting this trne building RTS AND CRAFTS aw. law., f-41 K.. ,M Arts and Crafts is a new department this year. Under the guidance of Mrs. Trent, eleven students spent an educational and enjoyable hour out in the Shack every day, Among the things they did were: drawings, lettering plates, paper mache masks, rugs, and they worked with leather and clay. Some learned to knit, and some made posters for various school events. Mr Yonker please help us Such were the endless requests to our Janitors and they responded every time We can safely say that they kept our school cleaner than many other schools around here But this 1sn tall that they did They went out of their way to perform small services and they had to be present at all the games dances concerts and nearly everything else held at school -.-.L.,.. R Krueger, L. Drage, T. Sohr, V. Monroe, F, Wartman, N, Larson, C. Zernicke. COOKS These are the women who were on the Job every day out in the kitchen With the help of student workers they prepared food for over 400 students a day That s a lot of food and the cooks baked around fifty loaves of bread every day Working in their new kitchen with its dishwasher and new serving tables made their work much easier Clarence Buboltz Lyle Yonker BUS DRIVERS In spite ofsteep hills deep snow icy and muddy roads the yellow buses were a familiar sight as they rolled up to the door every morning. Thanks to the bus drivers and Bob!

Beat Kohler 18 6 On the win road now Sophomores elect class officers Every club in school added new members today Why? Kolb took annual pictures Held class officer elections today Too bad Audrey and Marian had to stuff the ballot box all the time Homecoming Seniors took first place on their float QOf course what else'7j Lost the big game to Marion 13 0 Northern Night Hawks fur nished the music as King Chuck and Queen Dixie led the Grand March Half the gang had their graduation pictures taken The other half took the trip today Long way to Kolb s and back Juniors get out of class to hear magazine salesman Social Problems class took a trip to Green Bay they helped print the Press Gazette! I Bluejay Singers arrived in CADILLAC entertained by singing spirrtuals Weyauwega rolled over us 14 O Gunny sack dresses and smelly onions are frequent sights today Initiation took place That Social Problems class gets more breaks! They went to the Badger Breeders at Shawano this time Nother sad event Lost to Wittenberg Bonduel B Varsity wins 14 0 over Marion Assembly program Mr Dosdagru gives a very inter esting and somewhat amusing talk on Turkey Not the kind we have for Thanksgiving either! Ah' A victory over Waupaca! Dance in gym after game sponsored by G A A A vacation teacher s meeting at Bonduel and Betty Steinmetz Mr Weix Jovce Audrey Mickey Rocky Hub and Cline provided the enter tainment at the assembly today Lots of fun on that trampoline! If silence were golden Marge would be rich She did the unusual and remained silent all day Semor Home Ec girls and Mrs Goska visit Prange s NOVEMBER A long awaited vacation finally arrives Teacher s Convention and all the teachers went shopping Bonduel F H A was host to the district F H A Rally with eight schools present The boys enjoyed them selves almost as much as the girls why not? There were almost 300 girls Polka Kats played Bogardus a clay sculptor presented Characters in Clay at assembly today Sadie Hawkins dance Sophomores chose their class rings today Seniors picked out announcements and calling cards Coach and Mr Freid were given a gift at the pep meeting Best of all we start the basketball season with a bang by downing Amherst 54 46 Have you noticed any Senior boys running around with aprons? lf so it s because they are taking Home Ec while the girls are suffermg thru Ag Disappointing! We bow to Pulaski 45 35 Wow' Were we on! Trampled Weyauwega 45 35 DECEMBER 3 Seniors to Career Day at Pulaski 4 Lost a hard fought game to Wittenberg 63 52 8 We beat the mighty Comets 69 4 ll We re on the 52 10 .
