CLASS HIST 0RY On September 7 1948 fifty four freshmen enrolled in Bonduel High awed but determined The sophomores med to re do our habit of dress at rnrtratron but failed as rt lasted only one day much to our relief Mae Suede and Rod Blom were the proud representatives to the homecoming In the Spring Marlene Drage and Ken Schwergert were rn the Court of Honor at the prom This was the beginning The next fall as sophomores we sought revenge on the rncomrng freshmen. We also sponsored a bam dance which was very successful Shirley Tischer was our representative at the homecoming George Vanden Brook and Jeanette Westerfield were in the Court of Honor at the prom In thespring of the year we received our class rings. We were the class of 52 l The next year we had two important social events. The first was the homecoming, led by Jack Herb and Mary Koehler. We were proud of the fact that we won first prize on our float. The formal event of the year was the prom, honorably led by King George Vanden Brook and Queen Shirley Tischer. Our theme was Stardust with the gym beautifully decorated with silver stars. Stardust music was played by Tom Temple. A small struggle over exams and our junior year was ended. Now we are seniors. We are at the end of much but at the beginning of much more. With a happy and successful four years behind us and a little reluctance in our hearts we come to our goal, our graduation. After losing theopen- ing game to Pulaski, 13-12, the Bears tumed defeat into victory and walked off with the honors for the next six starts, respectively, Luxenberg, 24-6g Manawa, 20-Og previously undefeated West DePere, 19-13g New Holstein,32- 14g Marion, 32-6g finishing the season by whipping Weyauwega, 24-6. The Gridiron greats consisted of l31ettermen retuming from the Zemicke, Rod Blom, Jack Herb, and Elmer Richter in the backfield. George Vanden Brook, Louie Kroll, Ken Schwiegert, Marshall Meisner, Clarence Schneider, Don Theyel, Jim Johnson and Wallace Klosterman forming the line.
