CeHniiQ1Cil ftlhca Sccamce Construction, lights, sound, and props were just part of the techie's work. Techies' work was never done, all night the techies worked on cues, sets, and details to bring the stage alive. All this work was directed by Ms. Betty Sabo and Mr. Sears Brown. The set for To Gillian on Her 37th Birthday took more man hours to create and con- struct than the play ran. This set was not only a success for the actors, but also for the techies. The feeling of really l Techies take a break to pose for the yearbook photographer. being on the beach, at a beachhouse, right down to the whispers of the sea, was a result of dedication and a com- mitment to perfection. ln February, seven One- Acts, a series of plays, open- ed. They were all technically directed by students. There were 8 tech crews, consisting of 56 students who were responsible for everything from set design to sound. Stated sophomore Dean Zannone, I want to do this for my career because it's in- teresting, fun, and exciting! I feel really good when l see a set come together. This year, a new group was started called S.A.D.D, tStudents Against Drunk Driv- ingy. S.A.D.D. was instituted by Senior Class President Belinda Little. The goals of this group were to educate, provide public awareness, and promote community involve- ment to work towards eliminating teenage drinking and driving. S.A.D.D. was well-known nationally as the most positive peer group working against teenagers driving drunk.
