Gregory Jarvis, Ronald McNair, Ellison Onizuka, Judith Resnick, Dick Scobee, Michael Smith, and Christa McAuliffe, who was a teacher, all died with dignity, on a mission for their country. Bonanza High School students felt for the astronauts and their families, so we decided to dedicate a memorial forthe astronauts, in their memory. ln front of the school, on the north side, are seven trees and a huge pla- que, dedicated to the astronauts. ln sports this year, the Chicago Bears dominated the NFL and went on to multilate the New England Patriots in the Superbowl. Kansas City won the World Series in the fall of 1985. The NCAA cham- pion was the team of Louisville. Our own U.N.L.V. Runnin' Rebels basketball team made it in the Top 10 poll of the NCAA.
