SBIli0I' l1iSlI'l-ISS' lts countless number of victims were easily identified. They stumbled through the halls wearing identical expres- sions. Commencement came, but first came the final year of high school. With it came the disease known as senior distress. The only cure was graduation. lt struck anyone, anywhere, at anytime during the senior year. The disease malignantly struck every aspect of life: health, social life, and emotional happiness. Pressure began to mount as heavy loads of regular homework were sup- plemented by research l During a Student Council meeting Jason Reed tries to keep order. l Balancing a schedule at Bonanza and UNLV, Leslie Hauser takes time to prepare, papers, government projects, and extra-curricular and club activities. Then, other pressures were added: work- ing, sending college applica- tions, making career deci- sions, continuing a social life, participating in sports, and try- ing to function without sleep. As senior Celeste Magee said, The senior year is such a terribly wonderful year. You have the most work, the most insanity, but still the most fun. There seems to be an unend- ing amount of homework, but it is well worth the effort. GV 30 Senior Distress!

The Bengals' en- thusiasm rriaizlewthis a year to remember. Homecoming saw a week of cowboys and hillnillies, slogans of concerts or col- leges on the hacks ol Bengal tee shirts, a cacaphony or loud colors on clash day, and Hawaiian Day saw Hawaiian shirts, shorts and shades. To wrap up the week, Bengals wore brown and gold to show their spirit. The Homecoming Assembly was one of the many assemblies in which a great deal of spirit was shown. All in all, Homecoming was a great success, which just goes to show how much spirit the Bengals really had. Not only was there spirit at the assemblies, there was also spirit on the football lield, at basketball games, wrestling matches, and at all other sports events and pep rallies. The screams were not only centered on our players, they were also tor opponents fans, showing them the Bengals had more spirit than anyone else. At both lunches cheerleaders and songleaders got students all pepped-Lip for the game that night. Seeing how much spirit the Bengals have had in the past decade, you can he sure the next decade will be just as good, it not better. Keep it up, Bengals!
